I love wine and I drink it often, but nothing says grown up like a nicely stocked bar. Awhile back, I read an informative blog post about stocking your bar at A Beautiful Mess. Based on your budget, she gave what you should focus on buying, what tools you need and also provided a few cocktail recipes. In honor of stocking my bar, here are some great bar cart options for every budget.
I am really digging the work of Luli Sanchez and also her attitude surrounding it. Refreshingly honest, she splits her time between NYC (Brooklyn Stand Up!!) and the Yucatan. All of her work is hand painted in inks and watercolor. Just don't ask if you can get it in fabric (insert wacky tongue in cheek emoticon here)!

Say Yes to Pineapples!!
I absolutely LOVE everything about this house. Beautiful materials with great details and pops of color. By now you all should know that I love a good indoor/outdoor space! I found this on the website of Doherty Design Studio in Australia and here is what they had to say about the space:
"The brief from the client was to convert the double-fronted weatherboard into a fun, energetic home with more space and lots of colour that enabled the growing family to remain in their home for years to come.
The inspiration for the interior design was to reflect a simple, utilitarian aesthetic that plays with materiality and bold graphic shapes in robust finishes injected with strong blocks of colour."

Modern furniture company Skandium has been granted the rights to use Stig Lindberg's iconic images for a series of trays, mugs and tea towels. Take a look!
Awhile back, I took at 4 part series on CreativeBug given by Lisa Congdon. Sketchbook Explorations was a great tool for me. It helped me loosen up and also, well, sketch. The entire series is a little over an hour long and each part covers a different way of creating in your sketchbook. Using watercolor, collage, brush pens and other mixed media, she guides you through 4 different exercises, I've always been that person who buys a pretty book and then is afraid to mess up the pages so they stay blank. This series gives you an almost fool-proof way to practice and create some beautiful pieces. It's also seriously therapeutic! Here are a few pieces that I did while taking the series. Also, here is a link for a 14-day Free Trial for CreativeBug. Enjoy!
